THiCK ARTIST OF THE WEEK:

AN-TEN-NAE

Adam Ohana, also known as An-ten-nae, is one of San Francisco's most sought after DJ/Producers. His unique style ranges from electronica to breaks to dubstep, and is being coined throughout the electronic music community as the new genre "acid crunk." His mixtapes "Pop Rock Country Hop" and "Acid Crunk" were hugely successful, and received wide acclaim throughout the industry. During his 15+ years of spinning and producing an-ten-nae has toured through various parts of the world including Europe, Japan, Mexico, Africa, and Australia. His "An-ten-nae Presents:" brand has been responsible for  some of the hottest concerts and parties on the West Coast, as well as the widely sought-after compilation album "Acid Crunk Vol. 2."

We chose An-ten-nae as this week's thick artist for two reasons. Number one, the third volume of his down tempo bass-bangers compilation "Acid Crunk Vol. 3 in the Wild!" is dropping this month (October 25th) on Beatport and is sure to uphold the sterling reputation established by the previous two. Number two, An-ten-nae is playing Boulder's Fox Theatre this Saturday, Oct. 16th, with Octopus Nebula and Dubskin. For those who haven't heard Octopus Nebula, they are the next up-and-coming big name in instrument-oriented electronic jam music. This is an event you cannot miss!
